Kid Made Modern is an arts and crafts brand founded in 2012 by Todd Oldham. Kid Made Modern was born through the belief that creativity is in everyone; all we need is a little inspiration to spark the joy of being makers.
In my role as a designer on the creative and marketing team I have worked both in the Todd Oldham Studio as well as remotely for the Chicago team. The primary function of my role is to support the direct to consumer channels of the brand through website design, email marketing design, advertising design as well as content creation for the blog and social media channels.
Web Design
The Kid Made Modern web experience is integral to introduce visitors to the brand as well as products. Oftentimes it is the first introduction to the brand as a whole. Through Shopify I maintain the website and build custom pages to support our brand’s mission and various products. I create an easy to navigate experience to lead customers to their first purchase and keep them coming back for DIY content and more crafty screen-free fun.
Email Marketing Design
As Kid Made Modern’s biggest source of direct to consumer revenue, email marketing is a very important part of my role at Kid Made Modern. I Design and copy-write on average 5 marketing emails a week. Email design is a high priority in my role. My goal with each email is to create a beautiful visual experience that inspires readers to purchase and create with Kid Made Modern products.
Digital Ad Design
I support the marketing team by combining beautiful lifestyle photography with clear graphics to create various ads for social and display. Oftentimes to promote new products, our bestsellers, or the overall brand.
Promo Design
I design a visually impactful and cohesive set of graphics to support all sales and promotions across the Kid Made Modern. From the first email in a customer’s inbox, or display ad they see. Each sale is a branded experience for the Kid Made Modern customer from their first touchpoint to checkout to ensure the highest conversation rate possible.
Content Creation
Creating Content is a personal passion and I love to use my content creation skills to amplify the Kid Made Modern brand with video, photography, DIYs, and social media for Kid Made Modern.
